Under Costa Rica’s Solar Plan Piloto, PE secured PPAs worth over $120mm with the large coffee and rice cooperatives, sugar cane processors and the country’s foremost graduate University, CATIE.
The country’s utility, ICE put this program on hold in 2018.
HONDURAS
In June 2022 this expanded 18.3MW PPA for Grupo Karims’ Green Valley Industrial Park, the largest and most prestigious Business Park in Honduras went online.
The Medium Voltage array feeds energy directly into ENEE’s transmission lines.
Participant Energy is working with Grupo Karims in Campeche, Mexico to provide financing for multiple 15MW to 30MW Distributed Energy Facilities.
These Solar Farms, to be built beside substations, will provide inexpensive and reliable clean energy for underserved communities and local businesses.
